Role Call!

Just out of curiousity, do you read my blog? If you do, leave a comment. I just want to know who my readers are. And to make sure I'm not talking to myself.

Blog Elevator Music

What am I talking about? I'm talking about blogs with music playing in the background. I'm talking about their owners who seem to enjoy forcing their music taste down their readers' throats. I'm talking about those bloggers who seem to love wasting my bandwidth on songs I don't want to hear.
So be a dear and help me save a few cents on internet fees...

Or maybe I should just stop random blog surfing.

MTL1101: Lesson 1

When I say "Metal Up Your Ass", what comes to mind?

Quasimodo

What would you say if I said I like you?
What would you feel if I said I love you?
Would you feel disgusted?
Would you feel afraid?
Would you avoid me?
Would you abuse me?
Would you refuse me?
Would you reject me?
Would you throw that Valentine I gave you?
Would you tear up that letter I sent you?
Would you forget that song I sang for you?
Would you rip apart my heart I offered to you?

Are you just gonna watch me bleed as my heart bleeds for you?
Will you just let me die as I cry out to you?
What am I to you exactly, just tell me now?
I sick of all this pain, I can't take it anymore!
My back facing you, I walk away from you!
Goodbye Miss Esmerelda, I hate loving you!

JQ66 February 17th 2008

Sigh...

Will be heading to Australia again. Notice I didn't say heading back? Well I'm definitely not very ecstatic about the fact that I'm leaving Malaysia. The fact that I won't be seeing my friends and relatives for a while leaves me with an aching heart. The fact that I won't be able to eat my favourite foods leave me with a craving appetite.

Damn...

To all the Teddies, will miss you all. Well hope to see you all soon, but I'd probably won't see the UK ones until a very VERY long time. Hope to see Chuan Shen in Melbourne in a few months. Remember to spread GA propaganda before leaving!

To all my friends from church, that is if any of you read my blog, which I highly doubt, God bless you all and hope to see you all real soon. And I pray, while trying not to be corny, that your faith in God and Jesus will be your guiding light as we walk around in this mess of a place we call Earth.

To my Standard 1-3 classmates, namely Sean, forgive me for not keeping in touch! Sorry Sean! I feel like I've somewhat betrayed your trust. Some more you're like my first ever friend. What a terrible and hopeless friend I turned out to be. Hope to meet up when I'm back, that is if you're still in Malaysia.

To my other friends, be you from college or school or church, I really hope that you have a blessed life and the next time I see you on the road or in the mall, I can hear how you have experienced goodness and joy in your life, be it in your careers, family life, studies, and relationships.

With that I say: See ya punks in 10 months time!

Gong Xi Fa Cai 2008

I suppose I'm in some sense obliged to do a CNY post so here it goes.

Been reading some blogs and many people complain about how there's nothing to do when you're back in your hometown. There's no internet connection for some, while others are left to do nothing but sit eat and watch TV, me being one of them. Thank God for Astro too.

However one has to remember that how important the Chinese New Year should be. It's the only time that all our relatives can conveniently meet up and just get to know each other. To be able to just sit down and have a meal together is a luxury. Many of our mainland brethren are unable to go back to their hometowns this year. Many of our friends studying overseas would be too busy to celebrate the new year. For us, those living in Asian countries should delight in the fact that we have a holiday for Chinese New Year!

And be thankful if your grandparents are still alive and well and able to celebrate the new year together. Just to be able to receive that red packet from them, regardless of how little or how much they give you, is a blessing already. I really wish that my grandparents on my dad's side of the family are still alive. All I can do know is hear the stories that my aunts and uncles and my dad have to tell me about them. And not just your grandparents, but all your relatives. Be thankful that they're alive for you'd never know when their time comes to an end.

I don't want to be naggy, or at least to be more naggy than I already seem to be, so I shall end this issue of Jo's ramblings. Just want to wish all the people of the world a Happy Lunar New Year and may the new year mark the dawning of a hope and a future that would bring happiness and joy in your life.

Random Thought 1

Was sitting in front of Guess and the store display got me wondering...
What size clothing do mannequins wear?

Switchfoot Live In KL: The Aftermath

Switchfoot Live In KL
This is not a review.
It's been a while since I've been to a concert, not counting church concerts and the like. Anyway, the verdict? It was pretty good. I can't say awesome because well I didn't enjoy myself as much as I could have. It's just this annoying chick just pushes her way through and keeps pushing me until I keep leaning back and having to lean on my cousin for support lest I fall. The dude behind me was shouting excessively, and when it's time to jump and I jump, he pushes me. Sigh. At first I was pretty front, but at the end of the concert I was quite a distance away from my friends. Was pushed back. And to top it off, the concert started like an hour late. Typical of Malaysians... And I think Malaysians are easily starstrucked, and they'll like drool all over their shoes at the sight of a famous person. Lolz...

Ok now the music. First we had Love Me Butch opening. Well I guess LMB isn't for everybody. The crowd wasn't very responsive. And next up we had Altered Frequency. Frontman Andy really put up a great show. Well the joke was lame and I shan't repeat it, but all in all it was fun! When it was done Switchfoot were next. To be honest, I felt disheartened when a few people in the crowd were like asking the local acts to finish quicker so that Switchfoot could come on faster. It's quite saddening that very few people support the local music scene. Anyway, Switchfoot! Well the frontman Jon looked high. Lolz. Was pretty funny to watch. But they rocked hard. Real hard. I feel kinda ashamed for thinking that they weren't heavy enough.

All in all it was a great night. Hope to be able to go to more gigs like this.

Oh yeah, to the chick who got the SG, I love you-r guitar! Let's hook up? LOLZ...

Bullet For My Valentine: Scream Aim Fire

Saw this in Tower Records today. Tempted to buy, but alas it was not meant to be...

Anyway this is Bullet For My Valentine's latest album: Scream Aim Fire. Well to me, BMFV is great. Not too heavy, not too light. Just right, like Baby Bear's chair, porridge and bed. But I guess BMFV isn't for everyone.

Below is their latest single from the album which shares the same name with the album: Scream Aim Fire!

Want to watch the real music video? Click here!
Well I can't embed the actual music video so what's embedded is actually just the song.

Hair-y sad situation. My hairs left me for the saloon floor.

I cutted my hairs! And when I told myself I'm not going to cut it again until I come back from Australia. Well what's done is done. The verdict? I'm not satisfied. It's too puffy and spiky on the top. And I can't do anything about it as I'm not exactly familiar with using hair products. Oh well, all in all, I guess it was still worth my RM23.00. My only wish is for my fringe to grow longer faster.

Enough of all that hair obsession. Just use a cap to cover it.
