I'm posting this and the event hasn't even ended. I went for the ANU International Ball today. And guess what? I wore the same thing I wore to the Prefect Reunion. Just different shoes (which I had to get from Big W for a whopping $40 and it's those cheap generic shoes, ughhh) and my friends tie.
How was it? Well I left early, so that's saying something. But what kills me is the fact that I didn't get many nice shots. Really regret not going to the front of the stage to take close up pics of the performers.
Food? Nothing much to brag about. Had Battered Salmon with Tomato Rice (or might have been some kind of Rissoto). And had mud cake for dessert, which wasn't very nice in my opinion.
Entertainment? There were a few dance performances, 2 band gigs before I left. The first band, well it wasn't that good. I didn't know what the first song was, but couldn't really hear the vocallist. He wasn't that good. The second song was Bring Me To Life by Evanescence. I really liked the choice of song. The female singer was good. And I liked her dress, but that's not really relevant. The guitar seemed a bit of in the intro which really bugged me. Last was This Love by Maroon 5. But all in all they were ok. The next band was a duo. I forgot what was their first song, but their second was a Radiohead song, which I don't remember about, and the last was a Britney cover, Hit Me Baby One More Time! They didn't leave a strong impression on me. Oh there was also this choir that did a few broadway songs. I only remember them doing Mama Mia by Abba. Dance performance? There was this salsa thing by the organizing committee, some chinese fan dancing and the most interesting one of all, the Dominatrix performance by the MSO. Man that was some scary stuff... Moral of the story, don't mess with Malaysian chicks... Hmm these performances remind me of the time I got to play with Lemon Tea for SAM corroboree.
I left early because I followed a friend who had to sleep. And the rest of the table were going to the Casino after the ball and I didn't want to go and also they all speak chinese. There was no way I was going to fit in. So...
Well that's all. Look at the crappy pics!
