Concert Practice

The School Of Music. Looks Communist?

Steinway & Sons

Steinway & Sons again

Cool lights!

My friend Francis.
Check out the 'stache! Awesome!

No, thank you for your wonderful performance Mr 'Stache!

Don't run away so fast!

Went for a Concert Practice today. Classical music. Just to support my friend (and try to get a few cool shots) . All in all a good experience. I liked the piano piece done by my friend as well as the voice and guitar performance. Can't remember the names of the pieces of the top of my head. Anyways was pretty hard to get shots, seeing it's a concert and my camera makes that shutter sound when a shot is taken. I only took shots at the end, except for one. The one cropped above. His expressions are really hard to resist taking... Well I took it only because I was quite sure his voice would be louder than my shutter, which I later found out is a false statement. Haha oh well. Shots taken with ISO 1000, f/8, shutter speed 1/10. Should have gone with f/5.6. Sigh...

The actual concert is 2 weeks from now. Wonder how will I take shots then. Must improve! Don't like the shots I took today. I guess I don't have an eye for photography?

Trees

Taken quite a while back, on the way to the embassy. Originally taken in colour, but decided to edit it...

I have to stop lying to myself. You can't listen to music while studying.

I probably shouldn't update so often eh?

You can't get good Malaysian food in Australia, only decent ones...

Fuyoh. Disco in the tunnel?

It was only the Ambulance. I find it weird though. Pink and purple lights? Do they bring the ambulances to parties?

Marsha took this. She's better than me...

She took this too...

And this one too... I like this one the most...

Sorry uncle. Haha!

Ais Kacang in Australia. Won't get this here 10 years ago...

Sorry again. Haha! Hope you enjoyed your cendol.

Taken at SinMa at Kingsford. Supposedly has good Malaysian food. My verdict? Okay lar... The closest you can get in Australia. The chai tau kueh was pretty good. But others were not to my liking... Hokkien mee had a bit of the lard-ish thing. But still it didn't meet my expectation... Oh well... Again, hope you enjoy the pics. Nothing much to look at I know, but I'm learning... And in my defence, indoor lighting wasn't THAT good... Excuses haha!

Today's sermon

Went to church today, it being Sunday and all. Hey wait... I don't go to church BECAUSE it's Sunday. I go to church on Sunday because they have services on Sunday. There's a difference. Anyway... Pastor Jerry Sevelle (I googled and it's Savelle. Hillsong screwed up? But he's suppose to be a regular visitor. Hmmm) was at Hillsong today and he preached about barriers that we have set for ourselves and how we should try to overcome them. So I was thinking... Hmmm... Maybe I should get rid of that barrier that I have set for myself, and go after the girl that I like. *few seconds later* Hmmm maybe I'll wait for a few more years... *runs away*

Current mood: Bored.

Oh I so hate to brief the world on what I did. That's not the way I want this blog to be like. But I've got to tell this. I went to see a small production of Annie at the Blue Mountains yesterday night. And I lugged my DSLR to the show only for them to announce before the show that photography is not allowed. I wouldn't have got nice shots from my seat, but boy I was a little annoyed still. I was so tempted to use my phone to take shots at the end just because I could. But haha the show was reasonably entertaining, though I wouldn't say it's of professional standard, but hey it cost only $30, so I thought I should at least give them some respect and abide their rules. Hahahaha

Back to work.

初恋限定 (Hatsukoi Limited)

Sigh... It seems that Hatsukoi Limited has come to an end, and only after 32 chapters. I guess I'll miss the series.

If you're interested, you can get it here.

Strong Impressions

Have you felt like the world doesn't need you
It feels like no one cares if you live or die

I probably am nothing to you
Never was and never will be
I guess I've never made a strong impression
So that is why I'm invisible, no one sees me

So let's change that all right now
Let's make you remember me
I'll kill myself right in front of you
Scarring you, never to forget me

I jest I jest I kid I kid
I would never do that to you
I can never let myself harm you
Or inflict pain or scar you

Help me find my place in the world
Will you take me in?
What does it take for you to stretch
Your hand to rescue me
All I need is you to be in my life
To walk by my side

Hmmm conclusion of this post: Joshua can't write songs...

Sandboarding

Taken from the bottom of the dune.
Wooo can see the sand fly mid air!
I must say, Caucasian people are more photogenic compared to Asians.
I take that back. Just kidding. Fuyoh look at the sand fly! Kite flying?
Old photos taken during the holidays. That's like a month ago, maybe more? Anyways nothing special. Just posting for the sake of posting something... Hmmm it seems like this blog is getting more and more boring...

Sexy...

Mr Ang: Oik! Baju kurung kamu terlalu sexy! Demerit 10 point!
Seriously? WTF? ROFL LOL... But that's what they say...
If in Malaysia the girls wear the sailor suits like in Japan then yeah I agree. But seriously... Baju kurung and the pinafore? The baju kurung is like wearing an oversized shirt and the pinafore just doesn't do wonders to the curves. OK fine, she was talking about the blouse being transparent. Well it would be if and only if you wear the same blouse everyday for 5 years. Maybe that's a little extreme but seriously, I think the way she thinks is so goddamn ridiculous. I think Munirah must have been looking at Chinese School boys with their shorts and she mumbled under her breath: "Sexy..." and so happen someone heard her and so he has to cover up. Haha...

Had exam today. Microeconomics. How did I fare? Well it was harder this time, both the paper and the topics that were covered in the exam. So I think I'll be redeeming this paper... Anyway today I also meddled around with this program called Photoscape. It's free. Try it if you want.

Mantis found in a bunch of fan shue yip that was given by some aunty. Forgot her name. Damn hard to get the thing to focus...

Random shots taken in black and white. If your eyes are sharp enough, you'd notice on the bottom left, I've got Wang Wang biscuit and Tau Sar Peng... Haha

An edit of one of the previous shots...

Way back to Canberra

One Hokkien Mee coming right up!

This was all taken on my way back to Canberra. As usual, I had to wait at the station for approx 40 minutes, doing nothing most of the time. But at least this time, there was some entertainment. Haha. Well I don't know what's the name of that instrument, but I'm guessing it's similar to the pot pan thingy that I've seen on TV that originates from Jamaica or one of those African countries. Well maybe I'll google that later. And it was her first time busking, EVER! Well that's what the paper says. From the time I was standing there waiting for the bus, quite a few people talked to her and haha the baldy was hitting on her. Lol JKJK... Well the shots are very unprofessional, and I wouldn't say that their good in quality. But what to do, I like walked and shot the pics. Walk, then stop very quickly, shoot, then move on... Maybe when I stop, I still got momentum, so it turned out blurry. Lolz...

Last two shots taken from the bus. Probably could have gone with a higher shutter speed. But then again my hands are tad bit shaky so maybe it'll still be blur. I dunno. I'm a noob. This was taken when the bus was going towards Chinatown area from the train station. In front on the left is Paddy's Market, and on the right where the neon red light is, there's like a arch or gateway of some sort. Probably the start of Chinatown or something. I'm not sure.

Hope I've managed to share a little of Sydney with you readers. Sorry for low quality pics, but regardless I hope you enjoyed it.

I'm an arrogant cocky b*tch! LOL

I've been told that people (or a person rather...) think that I'm dao, which means cocky and arrogant in some chinese dialect. Now I find that rather amusing as it is shocking. I wonder if people really think of me like that?

Sure I don't have many friends, but you think I want that meh? People don't want to be my friends mar... I'm not popular or good looking so they don't want to friend me lar... So because they don't want to make the effort to know me, I should make the effort to know them instead is it? Is that what you're saying? Hmm? So I have to try to make them like me or something? That's kinda sad in my opinion. I guess in that sense, I'm proud. But why do you want me to stoop that low?

You're probably thinking, what does being dao and having no friends have in common? What's the link between them, why one minute I'm talking about being dao, the other minute I'm talking about having no friends. Don't ask me. I dunno.

Sigh... Whatever lar...

PS. I'm not posting this so that you all can console me and what not. However I would like to know what you think.

Hahaha quite dumb eh, this post...

Camera shy?

Apart from the looming exams, what serves as a deterrent for me from leaving the comforts of my room and take photos with my trusty Canon is the fact that people might smash the lens of the camera into the lens of my glasses... What am I talking about? Well if curious read here.
I guess we live in times where we must be more conscious and suspicious. It's a jungle out there... And I guess I can relate as to why people are so hostile.
Sigh... I just want to get a few nice shots, that's all...

Actuarial joke.

Just so this place don't seem so dead...

It's duck season! 2 actuary go hunting. And being actuaries and not hunters, their aim sucks. Anyway they saw a duck flying and the actuaries tried to shoot the duck, but the first one shot 10 feet on the left of the duck while the other one shot 10 feet on the right of the duck. Not being able to get the duck down from the sky, it was weird as they high five-ed and decided to grab a Corona to celebrate. Why are they rejoicing? Are they retarded or something?

So what do you think? [This is the part where you guess why...]

It's fish.

Disclaimer: Any use of WTF or wtf on this blog is not intended to mean 'What The F*ck' but instead 'What The Fish'. So when you see WTF or wtf, I'm not swearing. Just thought I get it clear.

A Long Day

Oh just yesterday I went back to the Malaysian Embassy. Since I feel reluctant to pay for a taxi to get there and neither do I want to take the bus as I'd still need to walk a fair bit, I rode my bike there. So I think I got on the bike at about 10-ish and slowly peddled my way there. And mind you, it's been a long time since I've ridden on a bike. Or even done any exercise. So the journey was quite a demanding one for me. Well not really. Only at the parts where I had to climb. Crossing the roads was scary too. And driving beside cars... I thought of using the bike lane, but after seeing the cars going so near the bike lane, some even going on it, I opted the pedestrian lane. It was quite nice cycling there though... Got to take a pic. But wasn't really satisfied with it. Wanted to take more, but had to rush to the embassy...

On the way I saw 2 people in front of the People's Republic of China's Embassy protesting. Well I wouldn't say their protesting... They were just sitting there, meditating or praying or something... And they hung up pro Falun Gong banners and stuff... Later I found out that other people are protesting in other states as well from some dude from Melbourne's blog. Seems like the turnout was pretty good there, especially compared to the one here in Canberra, the capital of the nation. 2 people wey... Kinda sad don't you think? I actually thought of taking pics of them, but like stated above, I had to rush...

Anyway made my way there and got the number and sat down, a bit sweaty... My number said 11. So I thought, this won't take long, seeing as the man being served is number 8. Boy was I wrong. Number 9 belonged to this Aunty. See was most probably renewing her passports for, I'm guessing here, her 3 daughters and maybe her... Aiyoh she had to ask so many questions... Her second daughter couldn't renewed her passport cause she's 12 already so she needs to have her IC to renew the passport, but seeing as she turned 12 here in Australia and her passport is expiring, she can't go back to get her IC. Lolz... I don't know what's she suppose to do. In the end she can't have her passport renewed. So this aunty took like more than half and hour to get her business done. I think she didn't even fill in the forms prior to her turn. So that's a lot of time taken up. So with nothing to do, I had took the Financial Review that was provided at the embassy. You know how papers provided are like clamped by this papan like thing? So that the pages don't come out? It's like in hotel lobbys? Well it's clamped so I can't read properly as some parts of articles are covered. So was kinda annoyed. Gave up and just sat there. And I did what Kai did. Eavesdrop. Lolz... This guy suddenly turned around and talked to these 2 people. And since I'm bored, I shall tell you what I can remember.

The dude, he's from Malaysia and is 25 years old. Studied in Sydney and went back to Malaysia. Came back here when he was 20 and has been in Australia for 5 years already. He works in the IT department of Commonwealth Bank on George St in CBD Sydney. He came with his mom, who came to Australia to visit for 2 weeks. I think it was 2. She works at an insurance company in Malaysia. The dude has a sister who's coming to Australia next year and going to study MassCom. He and his mom rented a car and drove to Canberra from Sydney at 6.00am. She slept on the way and he had only the CD in the player to keep him company throughout the journey. He drove. They plan to drive around Canberra before picking their passports at 3.00pm.
The 2 ladies that were sitting behind him (in front of me) met at a speed dating event. They were both avoiding this crazy lady who was too perky, she could have been high on pot. The crazy lady's name was Bubbles. One of the ladies is from Malaysia. She went to NZ to study and later came to Australia. Her parents fly between NZ and Sabah( or was it Sarawak?) as her sister is currently studying in NZ. The other lady is an Aussie. She works at Zurich Insurance. She moved out of her place 6 months back as construction went on in front of her building and it was shaking her place and she didn't like the location anymore. She has a full drivers license but hasn't driven in 2 years already. Oh and both ladies had grapes. Well that's all I can remember on the top of my head.

Well finally the Aunty at the counter was done. Next was this guy. Not the guy mentioned above. Took barely 5 minutes. Just got the thumbprint on, signed his paper, handed his passport and the relevant forms and required photocopy of IC. So fast. Then next the guy mentioned above. Same procedure. After that, finally my turn. FINALLY. Then the guy at the counter said: "Eh? You should have just come to the counter and collected it. Don't need to wait." WTF? Lolz..

So now I got my passport that says:
Pejabat Pengeluar/ Issuing Office
HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA
CANBERRA
Canggih leh?

On the way back the bloody bike chain came off the gears. Had to get my hands dirty. So annoying. Really considering getting a fixie...

Made it back and had to start work again as I had an assignment due at 5.00pm. Handed it in at 4.55pm So last minute leh? Ran all the way to the office.

I can't believe you stayed till the end. You either have no life or too much time on your hands or unbelievable concentration.

Bored

With most of my assignments done, I feel like suddenly I have so much time. To the point where I think of doing my revision. You might think: Hey what's so wrong about that? Well let me tell you, I've always been a person who always prepare in the last minute. So far in my 1 year plus of uni experience, I haven't actually studied except during the week before exam. I guess that explains the credit average, but it's just not easy for me to sit down and look at a book or a stack of notes for a few hours...

With nothing to distract me except my guitar, I shall now live a boring life. Life will consist of:
1. Going to lectures and tutorials.
2. Doing tutorials.
3. Playing guitar. And I'd probably be playing scales only. So boring right?
4. Reading my weekly dose of Naruto, Bleach, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Air Gear and Hatsukoi Limited.
5. Tearing the pages off the calender.
6. Going for Bible study and church( though I wouldn't really consider it church).
7. Listening to iPod.
8. Taking pictures of my wall.
9. Reading Bible and a few other books.
10. Breathing.

Wah only 10 things... And note that I put breathing there just to make the list reach 10.

Life is such a drag. Well a month to exams. Need to concentrate on studies anyway...

Malaysian Embassy Visit!

Went to the embassy today. Got the passport renewed. And I found out something about me today. I'm 170cm short. Yes taunt me. I know I'm short.

I have to say our embassy here is so not really not as glamorous as the other countries'. Most look modern, tasteful and have guards at the gates and stuff. Ours has the humongous emblem on it and the architecture looked unappealing. The colour was also pretty dull and the place seemed dead. And we didn't even had guards at the gates... Well I suppose nobody's gonna try to blow the place up or something, so there is no such need. It was kinda weird to watch TV1 there too. And while I was at the counter, I noticed that some lame exercise video was on.

Seems like I'll need to cycle all the way there because I didn't have time to go back due to class. I was lucky to have my friend drive me there since he rented a car for his taxi examination. Oh well it'll be the first time I ride a bike in Australia.

Passport photos

Got passport photos taken today... I thought passport photos are standard, but apparently different countries have different requirements. From what the lady said, the Greeks and Chinese are really anal retentive. Must get face measurement right and stuff. And I just noticed that on the High Commission website, the photos must be taken with a blue background and mine has a white one. Oh well... try my luck tomorrow. Cos the Consulate in Sydney's website say blue or white can... We'll see tomorrow. If they say cannot, maybe I should say "Malaysia Boleh!"

I need to get a camera USB cable thingy...

Why ask me such a question?

Went for dim sum today. Dim sum. Nothing special right? But that's not what this post is about.

My friend's girlfriend asked me something. The question was...: 'Are you gay?" ZOMG WTF?

I'm gonna hide in a corner now...

A sliver of hope...

It seems that it just might be plausible for me to go back to KL this June/July. Yay! Now I need to think of accomodation and transport. Damn I really need to get my driving license soon. Maybe I should consider a Kopi-O one. Just kidding. Seriously, I don't need the BPR to be breathing down my throat.

Jon, can I stay with you?

Or is anyone willing to house me, and be my driver? I'll pay? Lolz.

We Had Brownies!

BAPE X G-Shock

Seems like G-Shocks are the 'in thing' now? There's this Bape collab, LRG, KiksTyo and I won't be surprised if there are or will be others.

Remember the days when G-Shocks were 'dope' too? Lolz at the use of term dope. I remember when many people in Lick Hung had one.

Think this G-Shock is cool? Then get one. The price tag will have these numbers on it. 21000yen, and XE.com tells me that's equivalent to... RM637.556! What!? RM600 over for a G-Shock? Sigh... Only a hypebeast (a type of dinosaur) would want to get one.

Just go old school and get a normal G-Shock lar. Don't make your parents sad.

PS. 'Hypebeast' is not a dinosaur species, though brain size is comparable to a stegosaurus. Want to know what a real watch is suppose to look like? Google Patek Philippe.

Source: Hypebeast :This is not the same link as the one above, if you're wondering... It's s site that reports the lastest 'in things' in streetwear.

Tagged by Qi Hong!

Simple instructions... the tag consists of 16 questions, when YOU do the tag.. add one more question to it at the end and bracket your name at the back of it ... tag 4 people :)

1. Are you currently interested (in the boy-girl relationship way) in someone?
Yes. As a matter of fact I am. Who it is, it's a 秘密! Himitsu!

2. If given the chance, what part of your past would you change?
Hmmm the time I crapped in my pants? Lolz... Actually a lot of things. It's like I wish I could relive my whole past all over again. The things I did and didn't do because I was to scared, how I wish I could change it all.

3. In general, do you think physical or internal beauty matters more in a person?
Internal beauty. External is just a bonus.

4. Why did you choose your occupation/course?
Haha... Well it's like this. I didn't really know what I wanted to do. Had a rough idea. It was suppose to be Engineering and Accounting. But when I got my results for S.A.M., I still wasn't really sure what I wanted to do. So I did the thing with the highest requirement that I was qualified to take. Actuarial Science. Cos then it would be a good paying job. And with money, I can do anything I want later, be it accounting, engineering (well not really), art, design, music. But now when I think about it, I can't really do everything. Beginning to think that actuarial science isn't for me though. But I'll just have to finish what I started, no? Actually thought of changing to medicine in January, but that would be a crazy thing to do, no?

5. How much does money matter to you?
Money? It's just a tool.

6. How's life currently?
Boring. Canberra ain't happening! And my friends are all boring people. Well I'm no exception. Holidays are coming though, but I can't join them in their plans as well.

7. Are you a faithful/loyal person when it comes to relationships?
Uber loyal.

8. What is the one physical trait of yourself you like the most?
Physical trait? My large ass? Lolz... My hair I guess...

9. What is the one physical trait of yourself you dislike the most?
My skin. Pimples go away please? Behold the power of Proactiv, which isn't working. Sigh...

10. Briefly describe your dream car.
Tough question. It was the Veilside Mazda RX-7 which was in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. But I really like the Savannah RX-7 driven by Ryousuke in Initial D. Nissan Skylines are nice too. And so are Evo Lancers.

11. Briefly describe your dream house.
This is even tougher. I don't really think about this. I guess a waterfront house with a dock. Then must have a telescope on the veranda, and a slide into the sea! And a lookout like on those pirate ships!

12. What is the ONE skill you would like to pick up the most?
Like Qi Hong, kao lui skills lor... LOLZ >.<

13. What was the last dream you had?
(the kind you get when you're asleep LOL)
I rarely remember my dreams. Just can't.

14. How often do you get what you want?
Me? Hmmm depends. Not really. Cause I never ask for it, even though I want it.

15. List out 5 positive and 5 not-so-positive things about the person who tagged you. (Qi Hong)
This question is tough, especially when a. you don't know the person well or b. they're just too perfect. Well let's start with positives.
1. A really good friend. Loyal and trustworthy.
2. A sensitive guy.
3. Smart and sharp.
4. Knows how to enjoy life.
5. Most importantly, awesome gamer!

Not so positives
1. Too emotional and clingy at times.
2. Smarter than me.
3. Better gamer than me.
4. More leng chai than me.
5.Thinking of 1 is actually tough... 5 somemore? Hmmm last one last one. I know, wait I don't. This guy is just too perfect!

16. My question now eh? If you were a pastry or cake, what would you be and why? [ Joshua, the person who just felt like eating something sweet.]
I would be a cream puff! Why? Because I like cream puffs. And I'm soft and mushy on the inside!

That's all!

Now tag 4 people eh? I taggeth:
1. CBB
2. Nelson
3. Kai
4. Sarah Kate (well when she has the time.)

Should post this at SEEK.com too!

If you say that you were born a girl in a boys body, I'll just have to say that this isn't for you. And if you were a boy when you were born but now are a girl because of the wonders of modern medicine, I'll just have to say that this isn't for you too.

Story Of The Year Down Under Australia!

Story of the Year is coming to Australia! Must go see! Even though it's so close to my exams! Hopefully I'd be done by then.

And since this post has something to do with Story of the Year, why not post some music. I really like this song...

Who comes up with this type of stuff?

Nothing to post. So I shall do the tag.

1. What age do you wish to marry?

Marriage? 結婚? I can't really see myself in a relationship, let alone get married? Ideally I would like to get married at 25 or maybe 28? Seems like most people do too... But no one wants me... *sheds tears in the corner* Lolz...

2. What will you do when you feel really emo?
Emo. Hmmm dye my hair red? Or maybe a mohawk. Can't decide. Actually I'm not one to feel emo. I just can't. So I guess I'd be myself.

3. Who is your idol?
Paul Gilbert, Slash, Eric Clapton, Bill Gates, Nigo, Warren Buffet. Many people. But then again I just respect them, not idolise them.

4. Where is the place you want to go most?
Space. Or Japan. Or Malaysia.

5. If you have one dream to come true, what would it be?

To just live by the beach with the one I love. Sorry Qi Hong, it's like I'm copying your dream. But it's just so dreamy...

6. What is the purpose of your life?
Beats me. To be a good influence to those around me? To help those in need? Or just to be part of your life? I have no idea.

7. What are you afraid to lose the most right now?
Family and friends. I don't have anything other than that really...

8. What cheers you up for the rest of the day?
Root beer and Pocky.

9. If you meet someone you love, would you confess to him/her?
I shy shy wan... LOLZ... Nope I won't.

10. List out 3 good things about the person who tagged you.
She can kick my ass, she has nice hair but most importantly she's a friend. A good one too!

11. What type of person do you hate the most?
Stupid people. Noisy people. Stuck up people. Asians that speak with an annoying accent and dress like Aussies... I hate neon blue shirts.

12. What would you do if you won a million dollars?
A million eh? I would not invest. I'd set up my own business. Maybe a clothing line? Or maybe my own guitar store. Nah... I'd give it all to deserving charities.

13. What is your ambition?
Just to get a good paying job. Investment banking maybe? Doubt it cause I ain't investment banker material. Well I guess just to finish my actuarial qualification is a good enough ambition for me.

14. What will you do if you get rejected by someone you like?
I would do nothing. I'll just walk away. Crying. In my heart.

15. If you have a chance, which part of your character would you like to change?
My un-hotness... LOLZ. Errrmmm my lack of enthusiasm and my general low self confidence.

16. What is your favourite colour?
Blue and black. I wear a lot of black and blue. White for sneakers...

17. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
You'd probably be most afraid to lose the thing that's most important in life no? SO refer to above.

18. If there's one thing in your life you want to do but yet unable to, what would it be?
Get a girlfriend. LOLZ... Just kidding! To sweep pick. Just can't do it.

19. What would you do if tomorrow is the last day of the world?
Go back to Malaysia and eat Hokkien Mee. Then confess my love. Then buy a Wii and play with my friends and family. I wonder if "she'll" play? Then get smash my guitar. Hmmm then eat more Hokkien Mee. And maybe some Nasi Lemak from SS14.

20. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?

For her just to love me and love God and just want to spend the rest of her life with me. And she must be HOT!

I have to say this tag is poorly done. I just ain't happy with my responses. Oh well. Hope it doesn't make you dribble all over your keyboard because of boredom.

I'm suppose to tag 2 people because Qi Hong tagged 2 people right? So I tag Jun Sheng and Yuan Dong. Not many other people for me to tag no? Well do it in your own time. Wait these people don't even read my blog. So how? Then tag nobody lor. If you want to do then do lor... Don't want to force anyone to do anything.

Random Thought 3

I have a digital crush on blogger Suet Li! She's so hot! LOLZ...
I think I need to go lie down now. Or get a girlfriend. Or just a PS3. Or maybe a bike. Or a skate board.

Haizzz this blog should just go die.

STAT 2032 Financial Mathematics Mid Sem Jitters

Wahh....! In about 27/2 hours I would be sitting for my STAT 2032 Financial Math Mid Semester Exam. How do I feel? Unprepared. I'm at a point where I don't know what I know and don't. And I feel like the knowledge is leaking out my ears. It feels liquidy...Arrgghhh... Why must I always feel like this about exams?

I need You!

Well once this is over (2.30pm AUS Eastern Standard Time), I'll probably be rocking on Guitar Hero on the XBOX 360 or playing Ninja Gaiden on PS3 or eating Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap or Pizza. Depends what everyone else wants.

Or I'll probably just be dreaming.

Holidays next week! Can't wait! Dad will be over too!

WTH exams haven't finished already thinking about all this. GET TO WORK DAMMIT!

Clearly this is a pointless post. Something that can be seen here often.

What people in Australia can't get right.

I have to say there are many things in Australia that just don't seem to satisfy me. Here are just a few examples.

1. Hokkien Mee
I went to Oriental Kitchen, a Chinese/ Malaysian restaurant at Civic. Ordered the Hokkien Fried Prawn Mee. In my mind I was thinking, whether they serve me the black sauce one that Ah Hwa or the Penang Hokkien Mee that we call Har Mee I'd still be satisfied. Turns out it was neither. It was some Meehoon and "Hokkien Mee" (Inverted commas because hokkien mee here is like our wong mee...) that is fried in soy sauce of something. WTF?

2. Char Kuey Teow
Ok. I just ate this yesterday at Oriental Kitchen too, thinking that I probably should give them a chance considering the restaurant is run by Hongkies ( Is this term derogatory?) It was a mistake. They screwed it up too... But then you'd say of course lar. You're in Australia. But still, WTF?

3. Sarsi
Well there's no F&N here. But Schweppes does have sarsaparilla. And it's been a while since I drank it. And it's a tad bit too expensive to pay $2 for a can of A&W Root Beer. So I bought a bottle. 1.25 litres i think? But Schweppes's Sarsaparilla sucks... Taste like cough medicine. I wonder which is a worse soft drink, this or Dr Pepper? Seriously Aussies can't get this right either? WTF?

4. Foosball
The only place I know in Canberra that has a foosball table is the gaming centre in Civic. But the table sucks. Like for kids wan... So old and badly maintained... Where can I get a decent foosball table? WTF?

These are just 4 things that I can think of right now. There will be more to follow. To be continued...
